Portfolio Proposal
My aim in this assignment is to show my skills and abilities as a sound designer. I will show these skills through my projects that I have completed during my time in class and explain how they relate to my chosen job role as a sound designer. The first artefact I will be showcasing is The Last Bastion sound for multi media which is closely related to my job role. The second artefact I will showcase is the Terraria Type which is my DAW and Synthesis track, relating closely to my job role as its based on a game final boss fight music. The last artefact I will showcase is my recording and mixing project made through Pro Tools, this is in relation with my job role as I show use of different daws and microphones.
During the planning stage I will be explaining how all these artefacts relate closely to my job role in detail. I will breakdown the project into steps and explain the process and steps that I made till the completion of these artefacts. I will show this through my GANTT Chart and my production plan.
The development stage will show a brief overview of what I’ve covered through this year, and how they have helped me expand my knowledge within this chosen job role, even if there not directly involved in this job. I will do a brief introduction to give a rough summary of what I’ll be going into detail about throughout the website. Within this website I will have my CV showing skills and knowledge I have gained throughout my time in not just college but working in sound design. This will also include documents such as videos, pictures taken, samples used and more to further explain the process of creating these artefacts.
Within the evaluation stage I will reflect on my progress from this year and compare it to my plan and discover what changed throughout the creative process. I will critically listen to my work and give insights of what I think could’ve went better, what went well and how I would do things different next time I come across similar problems and challenges.
